Adults – Please consider being a parent chaperone for at least part of the week. Its lots of fun and a great way to get away from the craziness of workhome for a while.
One of the nice things with this camp is most of the programming is covered under this single fee.
Camp fees include the materials required for all merit badge programs. Scouts do not pay extra for basketry kits, leather kits, clay, arrow kits, rifle and shotgun ammunition for merit badges.
A few programs are operated by outside vendors and carry an additional fee. They are CPR, Horsemanship, Discover SCUBA, and SCUBA BSA. Sign-up will be in May.
Non-merit badge participants may purchase ammunition, craft kits, and more at the Trading Post.
Camp Ockanickon has a long list of merit badges available as well as a First-Time Camper program designed to give new Scouts an opportunity to earn a number of the rank requirements from Tenderfoot, 2nd, and 1st Class Ranks. The scouts will camp together as a troop in camp provided platform tents on provided cots.
Planning ahead: Scouts and adults will be required to have a physical and submit Medical form C prior to camp. If you planning a visit, take the form along.
